Trautsch Károly (1830-1910), prágai tanulmányait követően, 1859-től öt évtizeden át a Nemzeti Zenede első nagybőgő professzoraként megalapozta a ma is kiváló nagybőgő oktatást Magyarországon és az Operaház, ill. a Filharmóniai Társaság tagjaként aktív és nagyra becsült részese volt az ország zenei életének.
E kötet nem csupán egy kötet Trautsch Károly életéről és munkásságáról, hanem a teljességre és részletgazdagságra törekvő Trautsch Károly Összkiadás alapkőletételének is tekintendő. Minden kutatási, kidolgozási és szerkesztési folyamat az én munkám eredménye, ahogyan a Trautsch Károly Összkiadás további kötetei is az én munkám eredménye lesznek. Az első, Trautsch Károly életét bemutató kötet ugyan tudományos alaposságú, szigorúan hiteles információkon, forráson alapszik, jellegében mégis regényszerűbb egy tisztán tudományos dolgozatnál, hogy ezáltal a szakmabeli olvasókon túl a szélesebb körben érdeklődők számára is tartalmas és olvasmányos formában mutathassam be Trautsch Károlyt és az ő munkásságát.
Természetesen, a Trautsch Károly- Összkiadás részeként, jelen életrajzi kötet, mely az összkiadásban a KT-Bio jelölést kapta, számos további kötetet készítek. Ezek három csoportba sorolhatóak és a jövőben egymás után fognak megjelenni.
Karl Trautsch (1830-1910) legte nach seinem Studium in Prag ab 1859 als erster Kontrabassprofessor der Nationalenkonservatoriums in Ofen für fünf Jahrzehnte den Grundstein für eine hervorragende Kontrabassausbildung in Ungarn und war als Mitglied des Opernhauses und der Philharmonischen Gesellschaft ein aktiver und hoch angesehener Teilnehmer am Musikleben des Landes.
Dieser Band ist nicht nur ein Band über das Leben und Werk von Karl Trautsch, sondern auch als Grundstein der nach Vollständigkeit und Detailtreue strebenden Karl Trautsch Gesamtausgabe zu betrachten. Alle Recherche-, Ausarbeitungs- und Editionsprozesse sind das Ergebnis meiner Arbeit, so wie auch die anderen Bände der Karl Trautsch Gesamtausgabe das Ergebnis meiner Arbeit sein werden. Obwohl der erste Band, der das Leben von Karl Trautsch vorstellt, auf wissenschaftlich fundierte, streng authentischen Informationen und Quellen basiert, hat er einen eher romanhafteren Charakter als eine rein wissenschaftliche Abhandlung, so dass ich Karl Trautsch und sein Werk nicht nur für fachkundige Leser, sondern auch für Interessierte eines breiteren Publikums in sinnvoller und lesbarer Form darstellen kann.
After his studies in Prague, Karl Trautsch (1830-1910) laid the foundation for an outstanding double bass education in Hungary from 1859 as the first double bass professor at the National Conservatory in Ofen for five decades and, as a member of the opera house and the Philharmonic Society, was an active and highly respected participant in the musical life of the country.
The Karl Trautsch Complete Edition is not only a volume about the life and work of Karl Trautsch, but also the cornerstone of the Karl Trautsch Complete Edition, which strives for completeness and attention to detail. All research, elaboration and editing processes are the result of my work, just as the other volumes of the Karl Trautsch Complete Edition will be the result of my work. Although the first volume presenting the life of Karl Trautsch is based on scientifically sound, strictly authentic information and sources, it has a more novelistic character than a purely scientific treatise, so that I can present Karl Trautsch and his work in a meaningful and readable form not only for expert readers, but also for those interested in a wider audience.
Of course, I am preparing several further volumes within the framework of the Karl Trautsch Complete Edition, following the biographical volume that was referred to as the KT Bio in the Complete Edition. They are divided into three groups and will appear one after the other in the future.
